hi I’m Dennis I’m the perpetual fitness
expert I help you start a new fitness
routine so you can keep it up for the
rest of your life so today we’re going
to talk about how to remove excuses
because again there’s two types of
people two types of people either you’re
not working out at all right now and I
want you guys to start right you guys
know you need to start you know you want
to start so I’m gonna give you reasons
to start I’m gonna help you start or
there’s type of person type to those
people already working out and I want to
make sure that you guys always keep
working out right don’t let life get in
the way right don’t let excuse to get in
the way so a lot of times people are
giving excuses thinking their reasons
and how come how come clear that up how
can be a clarity on that right how can
we fix this problem right what helped me
a very useful tool that came to me is
when I realized everything was binary in
terms of the way of thinking right it
basically comes down to two things right
I like this tool because it’s very
simple
whenever you say or do whatever you
think say or do something right it’s
only gonna be one of two things it’s
only gonna be one of two things so every
time you say something or think of
something you got to ask yourself is it
a or b is it a are you finding
inspiration to find ways to make
yourself better or is it B are you
defending an excuse to stay the same so
again let’s say let’s say you come up
with an excuse to not do something to
give for those of you not working out
why are you not working out why are you
not working out right now and for those
of you who aren’t working out why are
you working out right now yes answer
that question first and now after you
answer why you’re working out or not
working out now we ask those questions
whatever you just said is that a
inspiration to make yourself better or
is it be defending an excuse to stay the
same there you go there you go if you
are defending excuse to stay the same
then you’re not getting better now
here’s a very common thing when I bring
this to people’s attention there’s a
comment you’re probably already thinking
it as well
a very common thing people say to me is
what if I’m okay with being the same
what if I’m okay with being the same and
that is okay but there’s another
question after this okay so if you are
defending an excuse to stay the same and
you’re not finding inspiration to get
better and again this goes beyond health
and fitness we’re gonna use fitness for
now so again if you’re defending an
excuse to stay the same and you think
it’s okay with it you now have to admit
that you gave up on getting better
so again if you’re gonna say I can live
with defending this excuse to get better
I have to admit I gave up on getting
better I’m defending excuse to stay the
same so I gave up on getting better you
gotta wear a t-shirt then you gotta wear
a t-shirt saying I gave up wear a
t-shirt saying I gave up let me guess
you don’t want to say that nobody wants
to give up it is not in our DNA to want
to give up right we do not want to give
up we specially do not want to admit we
give up but a lot of us we give up but
we don’t think we gave up once you
realize you gave up you will say you
know what I can’t live with that I can’t
live with giving up I got to find
inspiration to get better so again how
do you use this tool whenever you’re
doing something or not doing something
it comes down to two things right
there’s a summary it is either a
inspiration to make yourself better or
it is be defending an excuse to stay the
same and if it is defending an excuse to
stay the same then you have to admit
that you gave up on getting better you
have to say those words you got to wear
the t-shirt again I gave up on getting
better and then you know I know what’s
gonna happen you can say you know what I
can’t live with that no and now what
you’re gonna find inspiration to make
yourself better that’s how you change
the loop that will turn around
everything because everywhere every one
of us myself included of course we are
all defending excuses to stay the same
we all gave up on getting better once
you catch it now
you will want to fix it but if you are
here’s the word again unaware of it you
will think you gave up but giving up is
something that we cannot live with we
are meant to evolve we’re meant to get
better so once you’re aware of it you
will turn it around so for those of you

move technology is wonderful it’s a
wonderful tool but it is doing a
disservice because it’s making us do
less we got to turn that around before
it becomes a bigger epidemic than it
already is
