2020 IS HERE!! 3 WAYS TO MAKE THIS DECADE OF RESOLUTIONS BETTER
Now that we’ve officially stepped into the year of 2020, most people tend to make New Years’ resolution goals. You know the phrase “New year, new me right” and most people are not expected to actually fulfill those goals that they made for themselves.
NOT TO WORRY! I’m not here to tell you that you can do it or motivate you because I don’t believe in New Year resolutions. Why should we wait for a new year to set goals and try to make a change in your life?
Perhaps 2020 will be different, since it is a start of a new decade. This time you can make a difference, break out of your comfort zone, and achieve the weight and body physiques you’ve always been dreaming about. TURN THAT DREAM INTO REALITY!
There are certain things we need to do get our mindset right first before we will see results. So use the methods to get your head in the game.
Build a Greater Resolve
Resolve you say? That’s right! The more of a reason we have to do things, the more effort we would be willing to put in. If the outcome is for something we don’t really want, our mind are not really there. Therefore we’re less inclined to take any action as it is way to uncomfortable or too out of our own way to do so. That’s why if you want a better physique; breakdown that goal and work backwards and find a purpose for yourself
Attend Fitness Classes
When taking the first step, it’s always the hardest. Especially when your friends and families aren’t really the most supportive for this journey you want to take. They try to pull you away by saying things like “You can skip a day of gym” or “You can exercise another day”. Then before we know it, we’re back to bad habits of not excising. Therefore, we cannot hold ourselves accountable. However, if we join fitness classes, there are many other people just like you, trying to create a healthier lifestyle by starting to exercise again. With likeminded people, you will receive more support and they will keep you more accountable. Some people may be at the same level you’re at, thus you can all grow together. Nevertheless, an environment filled with likeminded people will encourage you to further pursue your goals rather than pull you away from them.
Self-Talk
Yes this may sound crazy, but telling yourself that you can achieve certain things is one of the most empowering things you can do. Stand in front of a mirror, look yourself in the eyes, and tell yourself, “I believe in you! You can do it” Just by saying small things like this will slowly shift your mindset to more a healthy way of thinking as it will impact your subconscious mind. I’ve done this for a while now, and I’ve noticed my mindset slowly change to think more positively.
Try implementing these things with your goals for 2020 and see how it will make a difference from any all the other years.
